submissions and such...

Ab Ovo is an online poetry magazine that is published quarterly. We accept e-submissions of no more than 5 poems to submissions@abovopoetry.com . These should be sent in one MS Word document, in an email with the heading "your name/poetrysub".  We are also currently accepting reviews of  poetry collections. These can be sent as an MS Word document as well or in the body of an email. Please include a brief biography with your submission. We read year-round. Please read an issue before submitting your work.

to get you started…

what we like: send us detailed observations of the trajectory patterns of fighting tiger swallowtail butterflies, the beginnings of things, the endings of things, tragic details of the mundane, the poetry of witness, traditional forms, experimental forms, exciting wordsmithing, L=A=N=G=U=A=G=E pieces, poems we want to eat for dinner, imagery that makes us gasp for air, etc...

We do not consider previously published work.
All rights revert to the author after publication in Ab Ovo, but we would like a nod in
